What does a DAYCO v-belt do?
V-belts run between your front pulley and coupling. These ensure that your scooter moves forward. The v-belt “climbs” up in your pulley and coupling as you make more revolutions and so the v-belt drives the rear pulley (and thus your rear wheel). If your top speed starts to decline and the traction force starts to decrease, it could be due to a worn v-belt. This DAYCO drive belt is of very good quality. Replace your V-belt on time! When the string snaps, you stop and you have a risk of engine damage to your clutch parts or crankshaft.
