What does a v-belt do?

V-strings run between your front pulley and clutch. These ensure that your scooter is moving forward. The v-belt “climbs” in your pulley and clutch up as you make more revs and so the v-belt drives the rear pulley (and therefore your rear wheel). If your top speed starts to decline after a few thousand kilometers, it often means that your V-belt starts to hit its end.
