Variator weights

The variator rollers you use have a lot of impact on the performance of your moped or scooter. Do you pull up smoothly, but are you short of strength further away? Then you used too light rollers. If you are hard to get away and only get started around 50 km/h, you have used too heavy rollers. Can we advise you? Simply contact us via the chat at the bottom right of your screen.

Compensating for variator rollers with compression spring

Too light variator rollers can be compensated with a heavier compression spring. This way your scooter or moped rides best over the entire curve. Especially if you are not working on your scooter or moped daily or weekly, it can be difficult to choose the right variator roles. In that case, try the original brand parts for your scooter or moped model first. Or test it out with a complete kit. From the results, you will know if you have used the correct variator rollers, or whether they should be lighter or heavier. Please note if you have a racing scooter or moped: in that case, you should use lighter rollers. With the right pull and compression spring, you can rebalance the characteristics of your scooter or moped.
