Piston stopper
A piston stopper is used to stop the piston so that the crankshaft can no longer rotate.
This makes it possible to unscrew the crankshaft nut at the variator without it twisting.
A piston stopper is rotated into the spark plug hole, the piston comes against the piston stop when you hit the
variator is running. Because the piston cannot go further up in the cylinder, the crankshaft blocks.
A piston stopper can cause damage to the piston if used incorrectly.
A piston stop is also only suitable for 2-stroke engines. With 4-stroke engines, the piston stop can
the valves hit with major damage as a result.
In addition, the piston stop is obliquely on the piston at a 4-stroke so that a lot too much pressure is placed on a small area.
Zandri recommends using a variator-lock key if it is available for your type of scooter.
