A carburetor is one of the most important parts of a scooter. Without a carburetor, there is no correct combustion mixture for the engine. The carburetor ensures that the fuel mixture is atomized with oxygen and is thus drawn together to the cylinder. A carburetor consists primarily of a constriction tube. When the piston goes down, air is drawn in via the carburetor. The narrowing in the carburetor causes the air to flow faster, with the result that the pressure decreases. This is called the Venturi effect. The correct ratio of gasoline & air is determined, among other things, by means of a sprayer. The larger the sprayer, the more gasoline in the mixture! There are many types of carburetors for your scooter, original and imitation. Measuring is knowing

You measure the size of the carburettor based on the thickness of the bottom of the membrane. You dismantle the carburetor cover. There is a black “membrane” under the lid. Here you measure the diameter of the bottom of the part. Based on this, you know whether you have a 16.16.5, 18, 18.5, 19 or 24mm carburettor.
