DERBI
Derbi is a Spanish brand of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds. The company was founded in 1922 by Siméon Rabas Singla in Mollet near Barcelona.
In the beginning he repaired and sold bicycles. In 1950 they focused entirely on the production of 50cc mopeds.
Over the years, production was further expanded and motorcycles with a larger displacement were also produced.
Successes in racing
Derbi has also achieved many successes in various road racing classes in the past.
Takeover by Piaggio.
In 2001 Derbi was taken over by Piaggio. In 2011, after much commotion, the Derbi Factory in Spain was closed. The factory left for Piaggio's home country, Italy.
Derbi Senda
In many countries Derbi is known for the Senda model, especially the 50cc version. Nicely finished mopeds available in models suitable for paved and unpaved roads. The Senda models are also very suitable for tuning.
