A more luxurious brother: the Vespa Si
The Vespa Si is the luxury brother of the Vespa Ciao. However, the most important similarity between the Vespa SI and CIAO is their enormous reliability. Although the Vespa Ciao is only equipped with a swing arm front fork construction and is supplied without rear springs, the bike is a common winner. The Luxe Vespa Si had a telescope front fork and a dual rear shock absorber. That the driving behavior between the SI and Ciao is great, therefore, seems logical. The people with a thick cut went for the Vespa Si, others bought the ciao. Anyway, to this day, the Vespa Si is a super steering breed Italian, with the reliability of German machine.

The history of Vespa.
Piaggio is the brand behind Vespa. Piaggio was founded in 1946 and then started his production of Vespa directly, which is derived from the word wasp. Originally Piaggio was an aircraft builder, but because they were no longer allowed to build planes after the 2nd World War, they started focusing on scooters. At that time, many parts of aircraft were rebuilt and used to make these Vespas. Then in 1970, the Gilera brand joined the Piaggio group and 17 years later in 1987, Puch added himself to this as well.
