The Yamaha DT/ MX overall
The Yamaha DT MX is a popular moped from the eighties. Although Yamaha was not as well known as its German competitors such as Zundapp and Kreidler, the Yamaha brand has existed since 1954, and the Yamaha DT was produced from 1978. The Yamaha DT MX was primarily a logical counterpart to the eternal rival Honda. Honda had the MT and MTX, which were sold more. For the public what did not want to go along with the whole crowd and wanted to distinguish themselves, the Yamaha DT was an interesting alternative. Both the Yamaha and Honda had a separate lubrication system attached to their two-stroke engine. Nevertheless, both the front fork and the swingarm of the Yamaha DT MX were firmer than that of the Honda MT. Although the Honda may have been even better to tune than the Yamaha, the Yamaha block was stronger. well, some swear by Honda, others with Yamaha. Anyway, the Yamaha DT MX has become a 100 percent classic!
