Why are you driving a motorized vehicle? To go forward and just turn the throttle around for that. A smooth movement of the wrist and you move forward! This is only possible when there is a throttle cable between the throttle and the carburettor. These are sometimes type and brand specific, but often also universally applicable.
The throttle cable has an inner cable and an outer cable. The inner cable does the heavy lifting and the outer cable protects the inner cable against excessive wear and factors such as dirt and weather.
