Honda

Honda was founded on September 24, 1948 in Hamamatsu and the company was named after its founder Soichiro Honda. The production of separate engines for installation in bicycles was started.

We soon switched to the production of complete motorcycles, initially even as a licensee of Harley-Davidson. In the mid-1950s, Honda was the first of many Japanese companies to approach the European and American markets with initially light, but later also very heavy motorcycles.
