help with the selection of bike locks
The different types of anti-theft chains
Anti-theft chain + Padlock
The lock consists of three parts: the chain, the separate bracket, and the padlock.
With this lock, you will have few issues with dirt or different weather conditions, as it is mounted separately
Fixed head chain lock
Easy, this chain lock consists of a set that you can quickly put around your scooter/motorcycle, but unfortunately, dirt can accumulate more easily around the lock cylinder. Be careful, as this type of lock requires sufficient space between the spokes, about 6 cm.
Chain lock + U-lock
The lock serves the same function as a traditional padlock and consists of three parts: the chain, the detachable shackle, and the U-lock. It is the ideal solution for scooters/motorcycles with limited space between the rims, as the chain lock often has a thickness that is too large to pass through. The U-lock can be inserted through the rim, and the chain does not need to go through it.
Different sizes of chain locks
We have chain locks available in different sizes, ranging from 90 cm to 200 cm. If you want to secure your scooter to a fence/post for added security, we recommend a chain lock starting from 150 cm. If you never plan to lock the scooter to a fence or post, it is recommended to use a lock that is less than 150 cm.

We offer chain locks in various sizes, ranging from 90 cm to 200 cm. Brands of chain locks:
We also offer different brands of chain locks in our range, all tested by the ART Foundation and equipped with a quality mark. This quality mark indicates the resistance of the locking chain, and the higher it is, the better the quality.
It is important to note that these quality tests do not cover the operation and lifespan of the chain lock. However, we have conducted these evaluations on your behalf.
Premium Chain Locks: Luma, Abus, ArtagoÂ
B-grade brands: MKX, Citycat, Power1, Pro-tect .Â
Maintenance of chain locks:
The chain lock is approved by the ART standard for a good reason. This means that occasionally, the locking of the padlock can be a bit more challenging. Therefore, we recommend regularly lubricating your lock with WD40. This will ensure that your lock functions properly. Additionally, using a Motip de-icer can extend the lifespan of your bike lock.
