You should not use the relay, connecting connector for relay. There is a resistance in the flashing lights. There is one yellow & red thread at the back. Use the red thread for the rear when you want to loop it to the rear light for the combination of brake light/daytime running lights. For best operation, this flashing light set should be mounted as a set with the front. See article 5862ap for this.
