Engine Blocks GY6 50cc (139QMB)

Our GY6 50cc (139QMB) engine blocks are primarily designed for Chinese scooters using this engine type. We offer various versions for 10 inch and 12 inch wheels, carburettor or injection, and with a short or long rear axle.

Compatibility with non-Chinese brands

Installing this engine block on scooters from non-Chinese brands (such as Peugeot, Kymco, SYM, etc.) may require additional adjustments. Please note:

• The exhaust may no longer fit properly.
• The ignition system is often not directly compatible.
• Wiring connectors may differ from the connectors on the ignition.

Important considerations

• The engine blocks are unrestricted. After installation, there is a high likelihood that the scooter will exceed the legally permitted top speed of 45 km/h.
• Even for Chinese scooters, 100% compatibility cannot be guaranteed.
• There are several types of speed limiters used on (Chinese) scooters, including:
  • Limitation via the CDI or ECU.
  • Limitation via a sensor near the clutch housing.
  • Limitation via a ring in the variator.
• Replacing an engine block is often plug & play, but not always.
• Make sure you have sufficient technical knowledge for installation and connection.

When to replace the GY6 139QMB long axle 10" ECS engine block?

If something crashes in your engine block (at higher revs, for example), a lot of things can go wrong. ● Gears jam or break off ● Certain parts no longer receive oil supply, run dry and break ● Bearings break or become trapped ● The above also applies to seals ● Your crankshaft bearings, or one of them, breaks And so on... What goes wrong at such a bad moment is too much to mention. It often comes down to a huge bill with your mechanic. But what you could also do once you've added up all the costs is maybe buy a completely new engine block! It happens that this is cheaper than replacing everything separately.

Where does this engine fit under?

You can use this engine block to replace the defective engine block of your scooter. Your scooter must meet the following properties; 1. The rear wheel is 10 inches 2. Has 2 rear shock absorbers 3. It must be a 50cc scooter 4. The scooter was produced in the year 2018 or later 5. The scooter runs 25 km/h as standard 6. The scooter is a Euro4 model 7. the scooter is equipped with an ECS (electronic carburetor system) and a Dellorto ECU View the list below of scooters where this engine block can be used. Now you would think that this is an impossible job to do yourself, but that's not so bad. To provide a clear picture, we made an assembly video on how to install the engine block. This is a video of a Euro2 scooter (built before 2018), but you can use it to explain how to assemble this engine block. The engine block is already filled with oil, but only arrows for use. It is recommended to change the oil after 500 km to increase the life of the engine. You can then have the standard maintenance sessions take place in accordance with the workshop manual for your type of scooter.
