Disc brake lockout selection aid
Why a disc brake?
A disc brake lock is an additional safety device for your motorcycle/scooter. By using a disc brake lock, you prevent theft by making it difficult to remove the scooter/motorcycle from its stand. When the disc brake lock is in place, it is positioned against the front fork, preventing the vehicle from being moved.
What size is suitable for my scooter/motorcycle?
To check compatibility, measure the holes on the brake disc. This will help determine the appropriate pin size. However, there are exceptions where you may find disc brake locks with wider dimensions and a thicker pin. These models are designed to secure the entire disc. You can also measure this dimension or refer to a photo or video for more accuracy.
ART-approved Disc Brake Locks
We offer several disc brake locks that are approved by ART. However, it is important to note that some insurance companies may require the use of a chain lock in addition to the disc brake lock. It is recommended to check with your insurance provider for specific requirements. ART-approved disc brake locks can provide additional security, but their approval may vary based on your insurance criteria.
Disc brake lock
It is common to forget to remove the disc brake lock, which can result in damage to the fender or front fork. It is recommended to always use a disc brake lock reminder cord.
Disc brake lock with alarm
Safer and more convenient, eliminating the need for an additional alarm on your scooter/motorcycle. This disc brake lock will trigger as soon as the scooter/motorcycle is moved.
