When does a cylinder need to be replaced?
A Mokix cylinder, for example, is an essential part of your Piaggio 2-stroke scooter. A cylinder needs to be replaced if there is a scratch or bumper in the wall, so the Piaggio 2-stroke cylinder loses compression. Compression is the compression of the fuel/air mixture in the cylinder. With little or no compression, the engine of your Piaggio 2-stroke scooter will no longer start or drive poorly. A scratch or bumper is a noticeable unevenness in the cylinder wall. As a result, if you replace only the piston; this new piston can also be damaged immediately on your Piaggio 2-stroke scooter! There are a number of points to pay attention to in order to properly assemble this cylinder. The arrow on the piston should point to the exhaust port. Make sure that the pistonlock clips are properly installed. We recommend driving the cylinder for 500 km.
