Tomos Head Gasket
The Tomos head gasket provides the seal between the cylinder and cylinder head. This gasket is sometimes referred to as a cylinder gasket. If the head gasket is worn or damaged, compression loss can occur, directly affecting engine performance.
Always replace the head gasket when removing the cylinder head. Check the sealing surface and inspect the Tomos cylinder for wear or damage.
Tomos Base Gasket
The Tomos base gasket is located between the cylinder and the crankcase. It prevents air or oil from escaping from the lower part of the cylinder. If the base gasket leaks, the engine may draw in false air, affecting tuning and engine performance.
Tomos Exhaust Gasket
A Tomos exhaust gasket ensures a proper seal between the cylinder and the exhaust. When worn or damaged, exhaust leaks can occur. This is often noticeable through increased noise, reduced performance or carbon deposits around the joint.
