Battery Selection Help

What type of battery is suitable for my scooter or motorcycle?

There is a wide variety of battery types available in the market. However, it is important to note that there is often only one type of battery that is suitable for your scooter or motorcycle.

Differences between acid, gel, and lithium batteries:

Your old battery has a specific type (please refer to the photo on the right: the first letter, such as Y or C, is not important, but the rest is crucial!). We recommend ordering the same type of battery. You can measure the battery with 100% certainty. If the dimensions match the specifications we provide in the product description, you cannot go wrong, and you will always get the right battery.

Why choose a gel battery?

It's simple: the gel battery comes pre-filled with gel, so you just need to connect it, use it, and go! However, one disadvantage is that the battery is already filled at the factory, which can affect its lifespan. It is recommended to fully charge the battery before using it for the first time.

Why choose a lithium battery?

We have stopped selling lithium batteries as they have not been properly developed yet for motorcycles and scooters. Lightweight lithium batteries tend to discharge quickly, reducing their lifespan, contrary to what is normally expected.

Battery brands:

"We have conducted research and tests on different brands, which has allowed us to select the following brands: Nitro, Yuasa, and Yacht. The Nitro and Yacht brands are comparable, and we have included Yacht to complement our Nitro battery range.

Nitro & Yacht: Grade B quality batteries, offering excellent value for money. The average lifespan with normal use is around 2 years.

Yuasa: Grade A quality battery, representing the best quality option for your scooter/motorcycle. The average lifespan with normal use is around 3 years.

Battery lifespan:

The lifespan of the battery depends on its regular usage. If you do not use your scooter/motorcycle for an extended period, it is highly recommended to install a battery charger or maintenance charger. This significantly increases the battery's lifespan.

It is important to note that if you do not use your scooter/motorcycle for an extended period (more than 4 weeks), the battery can be seriously damaged or even malfunction. Therefore, it is advised to take measures to preserve the battery when it is not regularly used.
