The air filter of a scooter/mopmer/engine is the breathing center of the internal combustion engine. An engine needs gasoline and air, for the air the engine needs an air filter to “breathe” You wouldn't run as well if you didn't have lungs. When an internal combustion engine does not have an air filter, it often runs very difficult. Therefore, always make sure that your air filter is clean and/or replaced once in a while. That's about 1500 kilometers once, then after 2500 kilometers each time. This is often about the air filter element. The element is a soft foam plate for most scooters, mopeds and motorcycles that filters all the air when it blows through the filter. Replacing the air filter or air filter element in time is vital to the life of the engine! When it is replaced too late or not, sand and dirt can be sucked into the engine!
