The air filter of a scooter/moped/engine is the breathing center of the combustion engine. An engine needs gasoline and air; the engine needs an air filter for the air to “breathe”. If a combustion engine does not have an air filter, it often runs poorly. Therefore, always make sure that your air filter is clean and/or replaced once in a while. That's about once after 1500 kilometers, then every time after 2500 kilometers. Replacing the air filter or air filter element on time is vitally important for the life of the engine! If it's replaced too late or not, sand and dirt can be sucked into the engine! No special tools are required to replace the air filter. To get the hang of it, we recommend (dis) assembling the buddy bin. Note: two types: round or square, always check which air filter is on your scooter first.
