Kreidler
Kreidler is a historic German brand of motorcycles and mopeds. The company name was Kreidler Fahrzeugbau, Stuttgart, later Kreidler-Werke GmbH, Fahrzeugwerke, Stuttgart-Kornwestheim.
Kreidler
It was not until 1950 that Kreidler built the first mopeds. Without exception, these machines had a 50cc two-stroke engine, often with a horizontal cylinder. A scooter also appeared in 1956. In 1957 the famous Kreidler Florett moped came onto the market. This model, which was actually released as a light motorcycle, would become a great success. Even when the moped market went downhill, Kreidler grew.
The speed record on a 50cc motorcycle was held by Jan Huberts for a long time. On August 4, 1981, he reached a speed of 222 kilometers per hour on a Kreidler.
Please note; The Kreidler brand name was later sold to a Chinese scooter manufacturer. For many people, the name Kreidler equals quality. This Chinese scooter obviously has nothing to do with the former Kreidler brand!!\
