Doubts about your battery? Then order a battery tester and test your current battery.
It's not to say that you can charge a dead battery with a charger, because a battery is often faulty if it runs out. Advice is therefore to have the battery tested first with a battery tester.
Function 1: Alternator tester (battery recharge) this tester shows 3 positions:
- Output 14Volt is very strong
- Output 13.5Volt Normal Voltage
- Output 13.0V too low voltage
Run your engine to test this.
Function 2: Battery voltage tester with 3 positions:
- Battery voltage 12.5V Then your battery is good
- Battery voltage 12.0V Then battery is moderate
- Battery voltage 5.0V then the battery is bad/broken
Make sure your scooter is off when you're going to measure it.
Please note this tester is only suitable for 12 Volt batteries!
